Cookie Policy
A short, honest inventory of the cookies this site uses — there are very few — and how to change your choice at any time.
Last updated: March 4, 2026 · Applies to: https://drjimmieflores.com and all pages within it.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, which works the same way from your point of view. Cookies let a site remember a preference between visits, keep a session working, or count visitors anonymously.
2. How this site uses them
Sparingly. This is a brochure website for a consulting firm; there is no shopping cart, no login and no advertising network. We use one strictly necessary item by default and one optional category that only runs if you say yes.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
be_cookie_pref_v1 | Strictly necessary (local storage) | Remembers your cookie choice so the banner does not reappear on every page | 12 months |
| Analytics identifiers | Optional — analytics | Counts page views and approximate location at city level so we know which pages are worth keeping. IP addresses are truncated where the provider supports it. | Up to 14 months |
We do not use advertising, retargeting, social-media or profiling cookies. No third party is permitted to set a cookie through this site for its own marketing purposes.
3. Your consent
On your first visit a banner asks you to choose. “Essential only” means nothing optional runs. “Accept all” permits the analytics category. Either choice is recorded locally on your device — not on our server — and respected on every subsequent page.
You may change your mind at any time by selecting Cookie settings in the footer of any page, which clears the stored preference and shows the banner again.
4. Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear local storage — usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary items may cause the consent banner to appear on every page, but no other part of this site will break. Guidance is published by the makers of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. Where a signal is received, we treat it as a preference for essential-only and do not load optional analytics.
6. Changes
If we add or remove a cookie, this page and the table above are updated and the banner is shown again so that your consent remains current. See the Privacy Policy for how any data collected is handled, and contact feedback@drjimmieflores.com with questions.
